Blaise L. Kruizenga

Funeral Director Apprentice, Pre-need Specialist

Blaise was born to mother, Tammi Kruizenga, in February of 1992 in Baldwin, WI. She lived in the area until her graduation from Baldwin-Woodville High School in 2010. From there, she moved to Minneapolis for a year before moving onto Chicago, where she got her start in funeral service. Though Blaise really enjoyed her years exploring the Windy City, she returned home to pursue her education at the University of Minnesota. She began working for O’Connell Family Funeral Home in 2018 as an apprentice funeral director. She takes great pride in serving the community that she grew up in and hopes to serve as a funeral director for many years. Eventually, she looks forward to teaching the funeral directors of tomorrow in mortuary science education.

Blaise currently resides in Baldwin with her handsome and hairy fiancé, Benjamin who is the service manager of Quick Lane and Tire Center. The two enjoy spending their time riding motorcycle together, taking birthday trips to the south to escape the Midwest winters and participating in Masonic-sponsored events and fundraisers.

When Blaise isn’t on the bike, on vacation, or with the Lodge, you might be able to find her playing volleyball with her summer league, having a Nordeast beer, or enjoying music at home, at a live show, or the office.
