Delbert Henrichs

Delbert Jay Henrichs age 86 of New Richmond, died Wednesday August 26, 2020 at the St. Croix Health Center.

Delbert was born on November 12, 1933 in Donnelly, Minnesota; the son of Jay and Alice (Degendorfer) Henrichs. He attended District 80 Elementary School in Stevens County prior to graduating from Morris High School.

On April 7th, 1956, he was united in marriage to Beverly Jane Sprouls at the Federated Church in Morris. This union would be further blessed with four children. Delbert was a gentle, easy going soul. He enjoyed singing around the house and whistling to the birds to see if they would answer. His two most cherished devotions were his family and faith. His love of music led him to be part of the church choir. He had great memories of hunting and fishing with his brothers and family earlier in life. The children have great recollections of camping at Minnesota area campgrounds over the years. Growing up, they looked forward to regular game night as Bev and Del loved to make their kids laugh.

Del will remain in the hearts of his wife and best friend, Beverly; children: Bruce Henrichs of White Bear Lake, MN, Wendy (Elmer) McPherson of Reedsburg, and Cindy (Mike) LaBore of Hudson; grandchildren: Trina LaBore, Perry (Kimberly) LaBore, Steven LaBore, Angela (Jim) Abbott, Bryan Henrichs, Ross (Michelle) Reichel, and Haley (Brandon) Rice; great-grandchildren: Addie, Rowan, John, Blake, Hannah, Josiah, Abby, Elizabeth, Gabby, Lucy, and Leon; siblings: Roger Henrichs, Perry (Priscilla) Henrichs, Patricia Bludorn, and Virginia (Gary) Brumm; brother-in-law, Clarence Oletzke; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, Jay; daughter-in-law Angela Henrichs; parents, Jay and Alice (Degendorfer) Henrichs; siblings: Jeanette (Jim) Saunders, Beverly (Ray) Murphy, and Barbara Oletzke; and sister-in-law, Kathy Henrichs.

Celebration of Life for Delbert will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 4, 2020 at Calvary Chapel Solid Rock Fellowship, 258 N. 3rd St. in New Richmond. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be private. Memorials are preferred to the discretion of the family.
