Adelaide Boettcher

Adelaide M. Boettcher, age 90 of River Falls, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2020 at the Kinnic Health and Rehab in River Falls. Adelaide was born September 26, 1929 to Harrison and Ruth (Badger) Fuller in River Falls, Wisconsin. She attended the Wisconsin School for the Deaf in Delavan, Wisconsin. On April 14, 1951, she was united in marriage to Lester E. Boettcher. Adelaide stayed home to lovingly raise four children, and when the youngest, Ronnie was in school, she went to work. Adelaide cleaned houses for a few years before she went to work at LaBon’s Truck Stop in Hudson as a dinner cook for many years. She was very active in the deaf community. After retirement, her favorite past time was latch hooking rugs, along with her love of cats and her dog, Pepper. She was well-known for her quiet and gentle nature.

Adelaide is survived by her children, Gloria (David) Davis, Ruth (Stephen Cheesebrow) Boettcher and Dennis (Lisa) Boettcher; 6 grandchildren: Eric (Melissa) Davis, Nicholas (Alicia) Davis, Renee Davis, Taylor (Andrea) Boettcher, Olivia Boettcher and Naddy Boettcher; and 8 great-grandchildren: Bailey Davis, Shakira Davis, Tarhia Davis, Zachary Davis, Tanner Davis, Talan Davis, Brenna Baribeau and Paisley Boettcher. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lester; son, Ronnie Boettcher; her 3 siblings, Edgar Fuller, Harriet Fuller and Ruth Oelke; and her parents, Harrison and Ruth Fuller.

A Memorial Service will take place at a future date at Rush River Lutheran Church in River Falls. Interment will take place at the church cemetery. Funeral services are entrusted to the O’Connell-Benedict Family Funeral Home of Ellsworth (715) 273-4421.
