Alan Wayne Tolzmann, age 37 of Ellsworth, passed away September 6, 2018 in River Falls, WI. Alan was born April 10, 1981 in Coon Rapids, MN, to Rodney and Laurie (Sickler) Tolzmann. Alan graduated from Ellsworth High School, the Class of 1999. Al loved music, being around people, and making them laugh. All these qualities made “DJ Vegas Al” a great DJ. Al’s love for people also found him working as a bartender at the Harbor Bar and Woodshed in Hager City.

Outside of his work, Al enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams compete, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers, Brewers, and Badgers. He appreciated science fiction and delighted in watching the X-Files television series. Al’s great big heart that was loved by all will be dearly missed.

Alan will remain in the hearts of his parents, Rodney and Laurie Tolzmann of Baldwin, WI; siblings, Laura Lynn Tolzmann of Maynard, MN, Chad Tolzmann of Fairmont, MN, Ashley (Shane) Cole of Beldenville, WI, and Travis Tolzmann of Ellsworth, WI; 6 nieces and nephews; grandparents, Wayne Sickler of St. Paul, MN, and Neva Sickler of Mapleton, MN; and aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Norma & Eldren Tolzmann; uncle, Ron Tolzmann; aunt, Sandy Tolzmann; and dear cousin, Jennifer Sickler.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will take place from 1:00 – 3:00 PM Thursday, September 13, 2018, with a Memorial Service honoring Alan’s life at 3:00 PM at O’Connell-Benedict Family Funeral Home, 130 N. Grant St., Ellsworth.
