Albert Osmur Peterson

Albert Osmur Peterson, age 83, of Spring valley WI, passed away on March 16th 2025, at Our House Senior Living in Menomonie, WI. Albert was born on January 4th 1942, in River Falls Wisconsin, to Edor and Martha Peterson.

Albert was united in marriage to Yvonne Peterson, the love of his life, on October 14th 1961, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Together they raised two boys, Todd and Troy. Albert worked for several years as a cheese maker at Cady Cheese Factory before he started hauling can milk. As the opportunity arose, he switched from hauling bulk milk to Cady Cheese factory. As time passed, he left from hauling milk and started his own construction business. He often did work for the farmers he had previously hauled milk for. Albert enjoyed many hobbies starting with being a Scoutmaster for his young boys. Todd and Troy still remember him addressing the community at the fire hall. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. In Albert’s retirement he would make fishing lures, fish the Chippewa Flowage, and take small jobs to pass time.

Albert is survived by his children Todd Peterson and Troy (Barb) Peterson; grandchildren Jessica (Christian) Grognet, Cody (Bridget) Peterson, Tara Peterson, Derek (Hailey) Peterson; great granddaughter Charlotte Peterson; siblings Waynette (Bob) Wittenburg, Greg (Sue) Peterson; in-laws Carol Peterson, Orville (Sally) Pierce, Joy (Vernon Mitchell) Ketterling; and many other extended family.

Albert was preceded in death by his wife Yvonne; parents Edor and Martha Peterson; parents in-laws Vincent and Blythe Pierce; granddaughter Courtney Peterson; sisters Eleanor Mae Peterson, Eldora (Jerry) Stark, Pauline Peterson; brothers Rolly Peterson and Wayne Peterson.

A Celebration of Life for Albert will be held on April 12th, at Abundant Life Church, 896 State Rd. River Falls WI, visitation will start at 10:00 am followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am.
