Albert Sain

Albert Joe Sain, age 68 of Spring Valley, Wisconsin, passed away May 13, 2021 at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. 

Albert was born February 3, 1953 in Fresno, California, one of twelve children born to John and Rema (Burchett) Sain. He attended high school in Reno, Nevada, before beginning a long career in roofing. Albert was united in marriage to Delana Choat on October 11, 1970 in Walla Walla, Washington. The couple was blessed with two sons, Roy and Clinton. Albert later became an over the road truck driver for Swift Transportation.

Albert truly loved his family and relished in spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. To his grandkids, he was the #1 Grandpa. A close second to his family was Albert’s appreciation for country music. He enjoyed listening to and had attending concerts of many of his favorite performers, including Merle Haggard, Don Williams, Waylon Jennings, and Conway Twitty. Albert was also fond of singing and strumming his favorite country songs on his guitar. He also found entertainment in going fishing and gambling at casinos.

Albert will remain in the hearts of his sons, Roy (Cindy), and Clinton (Vicky); grandchildren, Joe (Marcy), Justin, Logan; Ashley and Wyatt; great-grandchildren, Alaina, Jaxon, and Reese; mother to his sons, Delana Choat; siblings, Shirley Rulon, Larry Sain, Charlene Strong, Darlene Phillips, Mayblene Eliott, and Kathlene Smith; and other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Rema; and brothers, Bobbie, Clifford, Freddy, John and Jim Sain.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Albert Sain will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2021 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 1010 Newton Street, Baldwin, WI. Visitation will be from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. on Monday, prior to the service at the funeral home. Masks and social distancing required. Interment at the Baldwin Cemetery. Memorials preferred.
