Alberta “Dolly” Burns

Alberta “Dolly” Clara Burns, age 89, of St. Croix Beach, MN, passed away on May 17, 2023 unexpectedly. Dolly was born on January 31, 1934, to parents Albert and Bertha (Hertzfeld) Lindabaur. She grew up working on the family farm and was always lending a helping hand where-ever it was needed. She married Bruce Burns July 5, 1975.

Dolly worked as a waitress, nanny, housekeeper and later was a cook for the Stillwater #834 school District, where she retired from. She loved being in her church choir, Sunday school teacher, church groups, was a 4H member and leader, member of the former Eagles 94 in Stillwater, making dolls for the Gillettes Children hospital, member of the Yellow Ribbon group, and involved in many other things. She enjoyed many crafts, spending time with friends, baking, always making goodies for everyone she knew. She cherished the times spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and she was excited for the arrival of her newest great grandchild, Henry. Dolly will be remembered for her magnetic one-of-a-kind personality that was loved by everyone she came across.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be missed greatly by her daughter Adelia “Dee” Roesler; grandchildren Isaac (Lindsey) Roesler, Michael (Holly) Roesler, and Emily Roesler; great-grandchildren Jackson, Rylan and Henry on the way.

She is preceded in death by her husband Bruce, parents Albert and Bertha, and son in law Daniel Roesler.

A visitation for Dolly will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson, WI, from 4-8 p.m. Her memorial service will be the following day on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at St. Lucas Church in Lake Elmo, MN, at 11 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to the family.
