Alexsis Albrightson

Alexsis Albrightson age 17 of Woodville, cherished daughter of Lance and Angie died as a result of an auto accident Thursday, February 12, 2015 in Hammond Township. Alexsis was born on October 2, 1997 in River Falls, Wisconsin; the daughter of Lance and Angie (Doornink) Albrightson. She was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran where she was baptized and confirmed. She was active in youth groups and helped teach Sunday School. Her love for her church and faith was evident in her everyday life. She was raised in Woodville, attending Greenfield Elementary and Viking Middle School. Currently, she was a proud junior at Baldwin Woodville High School. Alexsis was an energetic, self-driven student who loved being around her friends. She was an Honor Roll student who served as class treasurer for the class of ’16. She was involved with FBLA, Spanish Club, Forensics, and BW Cheerleading. She was also active with Teacher Assistant program at Greenfield Elementary, student council, and the All School Play. Alexsis’s zest for life was widely known by those who knew her. Her bigger than life personality was not only appreciated by her friends, but those left on the outside by others. Her passion in life was dance. Since the age of two, she has been dancing and making friends at St. Croix Valley Dance Academy in Baldwin. She, and her team, have won many titles on both the local and national level. Furthermore, her skills and drive led her to become a dance instructor. She also enjoyed her time at The Hazelnut Tree. More than just saying the word ‘barista’, she loved greeting others with a smile along with a cup of coffee. Over the years, she took pleasure in her many babysitting jobs and was excited to work at A&W where she just finished her training.

Alexsis will forever remain in the hearts of her parents Lance and Angie; her brother Landon; sister Anna; grandparents Larry and Bev Albrightson, Doug Doornink, Roger and Cheryl Felix, Thomas Wheaton; great grandparents Reuben and Dorothy Doornink, Gladys Felix; God parents Barry and Tammy Rose; many aunts/uncles, cousins, and countless friends. She joins her grandparents Kelly (Cronk) Doornink, Toni (Chilson) Doornink Wheaton; great grandparents Irvin and Gert Chilson, Mike Felix, Joe and Dorothy Albrightson, and Herb and Helen Schone in Heaven.  

Funeral service for Alexsis will be 11AM Tuesday February 17th at Zion Lutheran Church in Woodville with Pastor Keith Anderson officiating. Music will be provided by fellow friends, Rebecca Morton, Mookie Morton, and Lauren Zupfer, as well as organist Judy Veenendall. Visitation will be on Monday from 2PM to 8PM ALSO at Zion Lutheran Church in Woodville, as well as one hour prior to the service at church Tuesday morning. Burial will be in the Sunset Cemetery in Woodville. Casketbearers will be her Dance Academy instructors who inspired her shine making the most of her God given talents.  Memorials preferred. Funeral services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin.
