Allan Wayne Hanson, age 71, of River Falls, WI passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN due to complications of Leukemia. He was born on March 6, 1947 in St. Paul, MN to Almont and Edna (Parmeter) Hanson. He graduated from Newton, IA High School in 1965 and received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls.

Allan worked for Anderson Windows as a Chemical Analyst, testing plastic and color strength in different weather conditions in the Research and Development Department for 27 years retiring in 2005 and consulting until 2007. He was an active member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in River Falls for 30 years. He attended and led many Bible Studies. Being a generous man he lived out the gospel, and brought the gospel message to those who could not travel to church. He helped many to the best of his ability whenever the chance arose.

Allan enjoyed spending time with his family and teaching his grandchildren all he knew about rocks, building, and fishing. Allan helped the on-line commerce industry thrive. He enjoyed being politically active and would have a good political discussion with anyone.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Al and Edna Hanson; twin sister, Helen Ahlborn; brother, Ken Hanson.

Allan is lovingly survived by three daughters, Barbra (Kurt) Brammer, Kimberly (Ben) Neuman, Carrie (Dan) Bell; grandchildren, Trevor and Jacob Brammer, Jason and Elisabeth Neuman; brothers, Rick (Teri) Hanson, Doug (Barb) Hanson, Mark (Peggy) Hanson, Craig (Lori) Hanson, Andre (Elizabeth) Hanson; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Allan will be 11:00 am Monday, February 11th at Luther Memorial Church, 420 South 4th Street, River Falls. Visitation will be 3:00-7:00 pm on Sunday, February 10th at O’Connell-Benedict Family Funeral Home, 225 South 3rd Street and one hour prior to the service, at the church.
