Anna Dorothy Husfloen (nee Merta) died peacefully September 18, 2016 at the Kinnic Health and Rehabilitation Center in River Falls, WI at the age of 101.

Anna was born on July 28, 1915 in Beldenville, WI to Peter and Julia Merta (Matzek). She attended school in Ellsworth, WI. She married Alton Husfloen on May 28, 1950 and made River Falls her home.

Anna was independent and very proud that she was able to live on her own until June of this year. She enjoyed dancing and danced as often as she could until well into her 80’s. She loved to play euchre and played until shortly before her death. She was a member of the River Falls American Legion Auxiliary for many years.
Anna is survived by her grandchildren, Linda (Jay) Wollan, Ric (Nancy) Pace, Debbie (Karl) Schotter, Mary (John) Hauschildt, Carol (Jerry) Williams, Bob Peterson and Tracy Adams; 15 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by husband, Alton Husfloen; daughters, Donna Pace and Marion Borner; son-in-law, Ronald Pace; grandsons, Jim Pace and his wife Janie Pace and Neal Peterson; great-grandson, Karl Lee Schotter; parents, Peter and Julia Merta; sisters, Florence Morrow/Olsen, Mary Deninger and Agnes Carlson/Ehret.

A memorial service celebrating Anna’s life will be held 4:00 pm Tuesday, September 27th at Ezekiel Lutheran Church, River Falls, with visitation starting at 3:00 pm. Private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, River Falls.
