Arne Vincent Amundson, age 92 of Hudson, WI passed away peacefully March 18, 2017 at the Golden Living – Linden Care Center in Stillwater, MN. Arne was born on October 14, 1924 in New Ulm, MN, to his parents, Ole and Anna (Wee) Amundson. He grew up on the family farm in Hanska, MN. On March 22, 1958, he was united in marriage to Eleanor Nelson. The couple made their home in Hudson and were blessed with four sons. Arne worked as a Service Technician for Evenson Plumbing. 

Arne cherished his family and would do anything he could for them. He was fond of spending time outdoors and appreciated the occasional hunting or fishing trip. He enjoyed watching car races and baseball on tv; which reminded him of attending car races in his youth and playing semi-pro baseball in New Ulm. In retirement, Arne learned to play and became proficient at golf. He loved traveling and was delighted by seeing new places and people.

Arne is survived by his sons, Roger (Patti), Kyle (LeAnn), Brent and Scott; grandchildren, Alex and Matt; Matt and Margo; sister, Delphine Wishardt; and many nieces, nephews and extended relatives. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Eleanor; and great-grandson, Jackson.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church, 1901 Vine St., Hudson. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson, and one hour prior to the service at church on Wednesday. Interment at Willow River Cemetery.
