Arthur Richard Taylor passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025 at 81 years old.
Art was born on April 10, 1943, to Glen and Lilah Taylor in Chippewa Falls, WI.
After High School, Art enlisted in the Navy in 1960 where he was stationed in Cuba at Guantanamo Bay during the Cuba Missile Crisis. After honorably serving his country, Art worked for Milwaukee Cheese and he retired after working over 35 years at Cascades Tissue Company in Eau Claire, WI.
Art was a kind and generous person. Without hesitation, he donated his kidney to his niece, Jeanne, which in turn extended her life for many years.
Art married the love of his life, Judy Wills, on December 2, 1983. Together they enjoyed travelling the states in their car. They were always on the lookout for a good happy hour which was usually found at an Eagles or VFW across the country.
Art and Judy enjoyed watching all the Wisconsin sports teams, the Badgers, the Packers, and the Milwaukee Brewers. Art and Judy were “two peas in a pod” and they were lovingly together for over 40 years.
Art is survived by his stepdaughter Dawn (David Nilles) Wills, brother, Michael (Janelle) Taylor, sisters-in-law Barbara Taylor, Brenda (Steve) Mikel, brother-in-law Jim Pape, along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Judy, parents Glen and Lilah Taylor, brothers Glen Jr and Duane, sisters, Joyce, Joan and Barbara, Neice Jeanne and Nephew Scott.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Bloomer City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to the charity of their choice.
