Ashley Speer

Ashley Grace Speer, age 24 of Glenwood City, passed away June 25, 2017.

Ashley was born May 12, 1993 to Mary Lynn (Clanin) and Kemer Speer. She attended Baldwin-Woodville High School, graduating with the Class of 2011. She worked at the Best Maid Cookie Factory in River Falls for seven years.

Ashley’s passion in life was horses, dogs, being an avid reader, and the wild adventures of the outdoors. She enjoyed the activities of hiking, mud runs and warrior dashes, volleyball league, and being in the serenity of nature. Her fearless attitude allowed her to shine in 4-H horse shows and FFA, as well as helping her to achieve national awards in dog shows. Ashley loved being surrounded by her family and friends. Wherever she went, she always carried her infectious smile, great love and sweet compassion for others.

Ashley will remain in the hearts of her mother, Mary Lynn (Chad Enerson) Speer of Glenwood City; father, Kemer (Lisa Murray) Speer of Wilson; sister, Jamie (Anthony) Chavez of Bloomer; brother, Taj Speer of Wilson; nieces and nephews, Chloe, Silas, Iyla, and Esmae; grandparents, Jack and Anna Clanin of Turtle Lake, Gaylen and Diane Enerson of Roberts, and Karen Kash of California; aunts and uncles, Jacqueline (Darin) Yates, Lisa (Troy) Larson, Keli (Matt) Rudd, Sheila Enerson, Sarah (Eric) Host, Shelly (Josh) Sturre, and Erik Peterson; many cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Julie and Ken Speer.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 – 4:00pm Saturday, July 1, with a funeral service at 4:00pm, at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 1010 Newton St., Baldwin. Memorials are preferred to the family.

Funeral services are entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin
