Audrey Rae Campeau, age 81, of New Richmond, WI, passed away peacefully the morning of Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at St. Croix Health Center, just one day shy of her 82nd birthday. Audrey was born on October 22, 1938 to parents Herbert & Hilda Bulman in the New Richmond, WI area. She enjoyed telling the story of how when she was born, she was only two pounds & was kept in a shoebox until she was big enough to be held on her own. Audrey attended New Richmond High School as a teenager, & later went on to work in the food service industry as a cook, server & bartender for many years. No matter where Audrey was, her favorite thing about her job was being able to socialize with the patrons & participate in the dart leagues. Later in life, she became fond of word searches & cribbage, but Audrey always loved to read & watch her TV shows & movies. She was also a collector of antiques such as decorative plates & commemorative pins. Audrey loved to travel, & she would always bring back trinkets from her trips for her family. Throughout Audrey’s whole life, there was nothing she was fonder of than spending time with her family. Audrey’s joyful spirit & compassionate heart will be dearly missed at every family get-together to come; but will be remembered warmly with every story & memory of her life shared.

Audrey Rae is survived by her children, Donna (Richard) Hesselink of Deer Park, WI, Jeffrey (Cindy) Olson of Bemidji, MN, & Randy (Shari) Olson of Lindstrom, MN; stepson, Pete (Linda) Campeau of Star Prairie, WI; grandchildren, Joseph (Christine), Donovan, Starlla (Ryan), Mike, Tessa (Travis), T.J., Krystal (Dustin), Morgan (Chrissy), & many step-grandchildren & members of her blended family; 21 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, brothers, Elwin Bulman & Richard (Carol) Bulman; best friend, Sylvia Larson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, & extended family & friends. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Olson; second husband; Roy Campeau; parents, Herbert & Hilda; daughter, Michelle; stepdaughter, Penny; sisiter-in-law, Julia; & granddaughters, Cristine & Cheri. A Celebration of Audrey’s Life will be held on Saturday July 10th from 1:00-3:00 at the Stanton Town Hall, 2245 Co. Rd. T, Deer Park, WI. A meal will be provided and all are welcome to come and share memories.
