Bailey TeWinkel

Bailey Anna TeWinkel, 15, Hudson, died unexpectedly from natural causes on Wednesday, August 7, 2019.

Bailey was born on December 7, 2003 in Burnsville, Minnesota; the youngest daughter of Kurt and Heidi (Buehler) TeWinkel, and loving sister of Carley. Bailey grew up in Hudson where she attended E.P. Rock Elementary School, Hudson Middle School, and was looking forward to being a sophomore at Hudson High School. Bailey had just received her Driver’s Permit and was excited to finally be in the driver’s seat for her family’s beloved time together in the car enjoying the countryside. She was active in the youth group, Circuit, at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church.  Bailey just returned from a ten-day mission trip to Houston, Texas.  Bailey was most proud of her new job at Dairy Queen. She had just earned her second shirt and wore it as a badge of honor.

Bailey treasured the many friends she had, and made sure to brighten their day with her jokes, laughs, and infectious smile. Bailey loved sports, especially soccer and hockey. When she was on the field or rink, she shined while giving it her all. Bailey’s free spirit, playful, life of the party positive attitude lit up any room she entered.

Bailey will forever remain in the hearts of her parents, Kurt and Heidi; her sister and best friend, Carley; and her beloved dog Chico. She is further survived by her grandmothers, Barbara Buehler, Merrill, WI and Kathy TeWinkel, Hudson, WI; great-grandfather, Duane Peterson, Hudson, WI; aunt, Kim (John) Jones, Stevens Point, WI; uncle, Bret (Mercedes) TeWinkel, Navarre, FL; cousins, David and Jaden Jones, Tatiana (Jesse) Prinz, Jessica (JR) Wiggs, and Michael TeWinkel. Bailey was preceded in death by her grandfathers, David Buehler and Ward TeWinkel.

Bailey brought an amazing life to those who knew her.  In her honor, #Always Smile and be kind to one another.  “You know what sounds good right now?….Chipotle”

A funeral service to celebrate Bailey’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 15th at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 1417 S. Hudson Rd., Afton, MN. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14th at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson, as well as one hour prior to the service at church on Thursday.
