Barbara Ann Gaynor (Segerstrom), age 91 of New Richmond, Wisconsin, formerly of Hudson, passed away peacefully on August 8th, 2022 at Orchard View Terrace in New Richmond, Wisconsin. She was born on June 5th, 1931 to Lloyd and Anna Gaynor in Ladysmith, Wisconsin. She then graduated from Spooner High School in 1949.

Barbara was an avid outdoorswoman. During the winter, Barbara enjoyed cross-country skiing. In the summertime, she especially loved to play golf, go fishing and tubing down the Namakagon River. She was very active at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Hudson, Wisconsin. The various organizations she was involved with at church include the Episcopal Church Women, alter guild, vestry, and Cursillo. In her earlier days she was an avid bowler. She was on a bowling team for many years in Hudson and always looked forward to their yearly trips to the state tournament.

Barbara’s favorite thing in life was being a grandmother and more recently a great-grandmother. She absolutely loved going to all of her grandkid’s sporting events. In addition to her granddaughters sports she rarely missed a Milwaukee Brewers or Green Bay Packer game on TV or radio. She passed her love for sports down to her daughter and her granddaughters. Barbara also loved to play cards, her favorites being pinochle, cribbage, and 500. She also enjoyed going to The Center in New Richmond to exercise and socialize with a group of friends she met there.

Barbara will forever remain in the hearts of her beloved daughter, Lisa (Steve) Singerhouse of New Richmond, Wisconsin; granddaughters, Nicole (Marc) Cernohous of River Falls, Wisconsin, Chelsea (Charlie) Gartner of New Richmond, Wisconsin; great-grandchildren, Janie and Jett Cernohous, Joanna and Jace Gartner; sister, Alice Johnson of Rice Lake, Wisconsin; and sister-in-law, Gloria Gaynor of Woodbury, Minnesota. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Anna Gaynor; brother, Glen Gaynor; sister, Doris Thompson; and brothers-in-law, John Johnson and Doug Thompson.

A funeral service to honor Barbara’s life will be on Monday, August 15th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Hudson, Wisconsin with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. Luke’s Cemetery in Springbrook, Wisconsin.

The family would like to thank the staff at Orchard View Terrace and Adoray Hospice for all their love and care shown to Barb.
