Barbara Ann Kenall

Barbara Kenall , age 90, passed away on February 1, 2025 at Red Cedar Canyon with family by her side. Barb was born on April 6th 1934 in Huron, SD. Parents were Robert and Maybelle McGlynn. She attended grade school in Huron & Chamberlain, SD before moving to River Falls, WI.

She graduated from River Falls High School in 1952. She attended Macalester college in St Paul, MN and married Richard “Dick” Kenall on August 21, 1954 at the Congregational Church in River Falls.
She was a member of the Eastern Star since 1954 & a PEO member since 1986. She was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church in North Palm Beach, FL since 1993 and prior 1st Presbyterian Church of Hudson, WI.
Barb & Dick lived in North Palm Beach Florida during the winter months and at their lake home in Webster, WI in the summer months. They enjoyed traveling, often times with family or friends, including trips to Mexico, Czechoslovakia, Israel, Europe including Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium and many spots across the US including Alaska & Hawaii

She was very active with her church, she was a deacon, sang in the choir and volunteered in the office. She did mission work thru the church in Guatemala, Eleuthera in the Bahamas and Cuba. She took study trips to Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey and Greece. She attended the Passion Play in Oberammergau Germany with her church in 2010.

Barb is survived by her children Susan (Eugene) Zappa, Lee (Lori Trygg) Kenall, Nancy (Mike) Burback, Laurie Kenall, grandchildren Joshua Kenall, Taylor (Cody) Johnson, Korey (Candice) Kenall, Katie Kenall, Kiley (Matt) Fiala, Lucas Amborn & Blake (Jordan) Amborn, Dominic Zappa, Kate Zappa, & Jacci Zappa; 7 great grandchildren with an expected 8th great grandchild soon, sister-in-law Marcy Kenall and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dick, son Jeff and her parents.
She will remain in the hearts & memories of the many who loved her.

The family wishes to thank Red Cedar Canyon Assisted and Memory Care staff & St Croix Hospice for their kindness and compassion of care.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, February 16th at the O’Connell Funeral Home in Hudson with a visitation at 2PM-4PM & a memorial service at 4PM.
Memorials are preferred to 1st Presbyterian Church Hudson, WI or 1st Presbyterian Church North Palm Beach, FL or to Neurofibromatosis (ctf.org) in memory of Barb Kenall for Lucas Amborn

In honor of Barbara please wear her favorite color “purple” to the services.
