Barbara Jean (Grand) Thompson, age 86, of Baldwin, WI passed away on November 3, 2024 at Park View Home in Woodville, WI. Barbara was born on October 8, 1938 in Roseau, MN, the daughter of Floyd and Esther Grand. She graduated from high school in 1956 and began college to become a nurse. However, plans changed after meeting her husband Roger (Bud) Earl Thompson and on December 1, 1957 they were united in marriage and were blessed with 4 children. She then devoted herself to her family from that day forward.

Barbara was a faith filled Christian women who loved her church and always helped everyone she could. She volunteered at her church in many different capacities as treasurer, counsel member, serving at funerals, cleaning, and decorating. If the church had a need, she was there.

Barbara loved gardening, sewing, traveling and reading. She milked cows for 11 years and loved them like they were her children. Barbara was an avid bowler and bowled on a league for many years. She was a wonderful seamstress, providing clothing for her children and grandchildren. She also sewed for the church making countless quilts. Barbara loved to garage sale with her best friend Madeline and her grandchildren. She will be remembered as the most loving Mother and Grandmother, always willing to help anyone and was always the kindest women you would ever meet, making her a wonderful role model.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Roger Thompson; parents Floyd and Esther Grand, and grandson Kim DeRoche. She will be dearly missed by her children, Julie DeRoche, Keith Thompson (Rene Findlay) , Tammy DeGraw (Todd DeGraw) and Daniel Thompson; grandchildren, Melissa, Sara, Matthew, Kaytlin, Lindsey, Joseph, Holly, Heather, Michael, Jillian; great grandchildren, Taytum, Avery, Gwenyth, Quinn, Abigail, Brielle, Daniel, Olivia, Cole, Mila, Nora, Theodore, Lyla; and her sister and brother-in-law, David and Kaaren Lamusga. She is also survived by countless nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1350 Florence St, Baldwin, WI on Saturday November 16, 2024 from 10-11am with funeral service following at 11am. Luncheon to follow.
