Barbara Kay Raymo, age 49 of Hammond WI and formerly of River Falls WI, died on Friday, December 10, 2010 after an extended illness. Barb was born on May 26, 1961 in Stillwater MN to parents  Earl William and Yvonne Mildred (nee Anderson) Raymo. Barb was raised in the Houlton area, and attended both Houlton and E.P. Rock Elementary Schools, and then went on to graduate from Hudson High School in 1978. Barb was a wonderful mom to her daughter Amy, a loving sister to her four siblings, and a good friend to all who knew her.

Barb worked for nearly sixteen years as an environmental aide at the River Falls Hospital. Outside of work, Barb enjoyed softball, summertime, watching movies and playing Nintendo. Barb also enjoyed reading, especially Indian romance novels by her favorite author Cassie Edwards. Barb had a fondness for animals, and enjoyed collecting all kinds of cow memorabilia.

Barb is survived by her daughter, Amy of River Falls, WI; sisters, Sandi Raymo of River Falls, WI, Kathy (Bill) Dozark of Chester, IA; brothers, John (Jeanna) Raymo of Orlando FL, Ralph (Sue) Raymo of Spring Valley, WI; special dog Buddy; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends. Barb was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Yvonne, and her grandparents.

A Funeral Service for Barb Raymo will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, December 17, 2010 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson with the Rev. Father Jerry Harris officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in St. Bridget’s Catholic Cemetery of River Falls.
