Beckie Peterson

Beckie Ann Peterson, age 57 of Hudson WI, died on Monday evening at the Golden Living Center in Stillwater MN after a battle with cancer. Beckie was born June 29, 1953 in Amery WI to parents Edward Harold and Nellie Ann (Elliott) Vollrath. Beckie graduated from Unity High School in Balsam Lake WI, and furthered her education at WITC to become a nurse’s aide. On March 20, 1976 in Albuquerque NM, Beckie would be united in marriage to Ricky Jay Peterson.

Beckie and Ricky were blessed with a daughter, Sarah, and Beckie took pride in being a stay-at-home mom. She also enjoyed flower gardening, crafts, painting and decorating, and tending to her houseplants. Much like being a mom, Beckie also took great pleasure in being a grandma to her grandson Derrick.

Beckie was preceded in death by her husband, Ricky; father, Edward Vollrath, and niece Kimberly. Beckie is survived by her daughter, Sarah (Mike) Warren of Hudson WI; grandson, Derrick; mother, Nellie Vollrath of Milltown WI; sisters, Kay (Jack) Muske of Woodbury MN, and Lisa (Joe) Hayes of Hudson WI; and her nieces and nephews John, Dan, Jim, Matt, Katherine, and Mark.

A Memorial Celebration of Life for Beckie Peterson will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, March 26th at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 South 11th Street, in Hudson. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to services. Services are in the care of the O’Connell Family Funeral Home and Countryside Crematory. 715-386-3725
