On Thursday, October 10, 2019, Betty Jane (Summers) Ginn, loving grandmother, passed away at age 95.
Betty was born on August 4, 1924 on a farm in Frontier County, Nebraska to Arthur and Addie Marie (Showalter) Summers. Betty graduated form Cambridge High School in Cambridge, Nebraska in 1924 and taught country school for two years. She moved to Lincoln Nebraska in 1944 and later to Denver, Colorado in 1953. On July 12, 1959, she married William Patrick Ginn. They had one son, Thomas Arthur Ginn.
Betty liked to cook, bake, and was an avid genealogist. She loved to read. She attended her local Baptist Church where she loved to sing and enjoyed studying the Bible. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Betty was preceded in death by her father Arthur Summers, her mother Addie, her brothers Harold and Donald Summers, and her sister Dorothy (Summers) Kokes. She is survived by her son Thomas, grandson Matthew, granddaughter Kathryn (Ginn) Sandquist, and great-grandson Calvin Sandquist as well as many nephews and nieces.

A Memorial Time of Remembrance will be 1:30PM, Monday, October 21st at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson. Interment will be in the Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver. Memorials are to the donor’s choice. Funeral services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Homes.
