Betty J. Gunderson, age 81, of Ellsworth, died Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the River Falls Area Hospital, River Falls, WI. Betty was born the daughter of Lars and Minnie (Sorensen) Kirkegaard on July 20, 1932 in Yankton, SD. She married Percy Gunderson on November 29, 1947 in Rock Rapids, IA. For many years Betty and Percy owned and operated Guardianship Diversified Services in Ellsworth. Betty also owned and operated the Mud Puddle. She was actively involved with many Ellsworth Chamber of Commerce events.Betty is survived by her husband, Percy formally of Ellsworth, WI currently resides at Comforts of Home in River Falls, Wi.Six children: Larry (Ramona) Gunderson; Cathy (Lyle Hovda) Gunderson; Nancy (Paul Drobny) Gunderson; Randy (Lynn) Gunderson; Terry (Jean) Gunderson; and Wendy (Roy) Cook; 17 grandchildren and 25 1/2 great-grandchildren and her Sister Ellen Houts.
