Betty catered for many years at several venues, she loved to bake, she was always working on cookie recipes; Date Balls, Rocky Road, Chow main noodle cookies, and Scotcharoos to name a few. Her cookies were known world-wide, as they were a highlight in the care packages to her son, Doug, while he was deployed.

Betty loved her Church – First Presbyterian.  She was a deacon and she counted the offerings every Monday for many years.
