Beverly Rose Hansen

d. November 5, 2017

Beverly Rose Hansen, age 93 of Hudson, formerly of West St. Paul, passed away November 5, 2017, with her family at her side. Beverly was born on January 31, 1924 in St. Paul, Minnesota, the daughter of George and Marie Vernstrom. On September 13, 1947, she was united in marriage to Howard Hansen at St. Matthews Catholic Church in St. Paul. Beverly and Howard first met on the job at the First National Bank in St. Paul, where Beverly was employed as a teller.

Beverly was an undeniably talented and beautiful woman. She learned to dance gracefully at a young age, and even spent time traveling to distant events in order to perform. As a young woman she was also selected to pose as a model for various advertisements and clothing exhibitions. Bev became an incredibly gifted stained-glass cutter, as well as an excellent seamstress. She learned cooking skills from her mother, which developed into her own elaborate and extensive list of recipes and delicious, home-cooked meals. Her appreciation and admiration of show tunes and Broadway music has also been passed down to her children and their families. Beverly loved her family over anything else in life; she was extremely proud of her children, and thoroughly enjoyed being a grandmother.

Beverly will be missed by her children, Monica (Michael) Brenna, David (Peggy) Hansen, and Laura (Mark) Pilney; grandchildren, Courtney Brenna, Hayley (Matt) Katterhagen, Michaela Brenna, Christine (Tyler) Obermueller, Sam (Gabrielle) Pilney, Jack Pilney, Benjamin Hansen, and Cassandra Hansen; great-grandchildren, Avery and Beatrice Katterhagen, Peyton Obermueller, and Henrik Pilney. She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Hansen; parents, George and Marie Vernstrom; and brother Marvin Vernstrom.

Private Services will be held by Bev’s family. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.
