Bonnie C. Krueger

Bonnie C. Krueger, age 70 of River Falls WI, died on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Regions Hospital in Saint Paul, MN. Bonnie was born October 1, 1941 in Merrill WI to parents Earl Levi and Lilly Adela (Stevenson) Cottrell.  Bonnie attended schools in Merrill, and graduated from Merrill High School with the Class of 1959. She later earned her degree as a court reporter from the Minnesota School of Business. On June 15, 1963, Bonnie was united in marriage to Dennis L. Krueger. Their union in marriage was blessed with a son Chad, a daughter Kerry, and over 49 years of love and devotion.

Bonnie enjoyed horseback riding, gardening, and canning. Bonnie was a gifted seamstress who devoted 40 years to the Sewing Circle at First Presbyterian Church. When things needed to be in perfect working order, Bonnie would double as the sewing machine mechanic of the group. With Dennis at her side, Bonnie would travel the world, and marvel at the sights and cultures found in Africa, China, and Russia. One of Bonnie’s favorite memories from her travels was being aboard the large Windjammer cruises in the Caribbean. Bonnie will be remembered as a loving wife, mom, and grandma, who was creative, kind, and patient. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Bonnie is survived by her husband of 49 years, Dennis; son, Chad (Erika) Krueger; daughter, Kerry (Michael) Jerred; grandchildren, Jonathan Jerred, Maxwell Krueger, and Emily Krueger; siblings Russell (Patricia) Cottrell, Earlene (Donald) Stefanelli, sister-in-law, Delores Cottrell; and brother-in-law, Kirby (Carolyn) Krueger; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Adela Cottrell; and her brother, Gary Cottrell.

Funeral Services for Bonnie Krueger will be held at 2:30PM on Monday, July 2, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church, 1901 Vine Street in Hudson WI, with Pastor Stephanie Anthony officiating. Visitation will be held at church, beginning at 1:00PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the discretion of the family. Services are in the care of the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson, WI. 715-386-3725
