Bruce Allan Gustafson, age 55 of Amery, passed away February 12, 2016. Bruce was born September 20, 1960 in Wadena, MN, the son of Donald and Shirley (Stigman) Gustafson. He graduated from Baldwin-Woodville High School, the Class of 1979. His life was blessed with two children, Paige and Chad. Bruce was a skilled auto body technician and worked for Talmage Auto Body in New Richmond for 15 years. He was a talented auto body painter, who took great pride in his work and it showed. He appreciated classic cars, and restoring them.

Outside of his work, Bruce was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed the peacefulness of being on the lake fishing and in the woods hunting. He was well entertained by, and frequented many auctions, and was very successful in finding good treasures. Bruce was most proud of his children, and loved being a grandfather to his granddaughters, Brienna and Madison.

Bruce will remain in the hearts of his daughter, Paige (Dustin) Hawkins of Roberts; son, Chad Gustafson of Amery; granddaughters, Brienna and Madison; brother, Dave Gustafson of Woodville; sister, Debbie Gustafson (Scott Amo) of New Richmond; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel; and his parents.

Funeral services for Bruce Gustafson will take place 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 17th at Calvary Assembly of God Church, 2988 60th Ave., Wilson, with Pastor Rick Mannon officiating. A visitation will take place 5:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 16th at O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 1010 Newton St., Baldwin, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery in Woodville. Memorials are preferred.
