Bruce Richard Lindquist, age 66 of Hudson, died unexpectedly October 30, 2015 at his home in Hudson.

Bruce was born on December 7, 1948 in Minneapolis, Minnesota; the son of Richard and Jeanne (Holtmeier) Lindquist. He graduated from Brooklyn Center High School in 1966, and earned a Bachelors Degree from Metro State University in St. Paul, and served in the U.S. Air Force. Bruce worked primarily in the sales and marketing of medical supplies, retiring in 2010. He was united in marriage to Nancy Richmond on May 13, 2006 in Windsor, Colorado. Bruce enjoyed traveling, delighted in trying new restaurants, and attending theater in the Twin Cities. He was also an airplane buff, attended many air shows and enjoyed following the air races.   

Bruce will remain in the hearts of his wife, Nancy; children, Jessica Smebak and Karen Sturm; grandchildren, Evan, Stella and Greta; siblings, David (Linda), Rick, Steve (Kathy), Lori, Julie (Greg) Schultze, and Mike (Laurie); many nieces and nephews; and his cat Maggie. He is preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Charlene; and sister Carla Komomua.

A Celebration of Bruce’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 6th at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
