Bruce Thomas Breyfogle, age 52, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2012 at his home in Lakeland, MN.

Bruce was born on March 2, 1960 to Phillip and Marjorie (Kloos) Breyfogle in Canby, MN. He grew up in Taunton, MN with his seven siblings: John, Dean, Dale, Phyllis, Delores, Marylee, and Tom, and attended and graduated from Minneota High School, where he played football and wrestled. Following years of travel, he made his home in Lakeland, where he lived for 18 years. 

Bruce was a master carpenter throughout his work life. He was a helper, teacher, and had a “Get Er Done!” attitude. He loved spending time with his family and neighborhood friends. He enjoyed bird watching, the company of his pets, and watching sports. 

He is survived by his lifetime partner, Jolene Kohn of Hudson, WI; parents Phillip and Marjorie Breyfogle of Taunton, MN; siblings, John (Chris) Breyfogle of Minneapolis, MN, Dean (Laurie) Breyfogle of Taunton, MN, Phyllis (Pat) Hoel of Hudson, WI, Delores (Mike) Jacobs of Becker, MN, Marylee (Mark) Giese of Canby, MN, and Tom Breyfogle of Fridley, MN; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. He is also loved by Jolene’s children, Jachai (Nicole) Lockhart of Woodbury, MN, and their children Jaeda, Alexus, and Elijah; and Nikki Kohn of Hudson, WI. 

He is preceded in death by his brother, Dale; and his grandparents. 

A memorial service for Bruce will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2012 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 11th St. S., Hudson with a gathering one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial services will be held at Taunton Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred by the family to be used in honor of Bruce.
