Caden Luverne Aamodt

Caden Luverne Aamodt, 27 day old infant son of Dan and Rachel (Mohn) Aamodt, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Children’s Hospital in Saint Paul MN. Caden was born November 17, 2016 in Baldwin. Due to his early arrival, Caden was transported to Children’s Hospital, where he fought day by day, and impacted those around him. He left an imprint on many hearts, and never knew a moment of this world where he didn’t feel love.

Regarded by Dan and Rachel as their “little miracle”, Caden will forever be the child who made them parents. They were to each other, a blessing. In their brief time together, Caden brought much happiness and a special bond to all the members of his family. During his days, Caden was blessed with many prayers, and the care of a community following. Caden experienced great love, especially from mom and dad when they held him in their arms. To show his love, Caden would grab firmly to a pinky finger and hold his loved ones near. While here, many thought that perhaps he slept like his dad. Now that he is in Heaven, they take comfort in knowing he sleeps among the angels.

Caden will be missed and remembered by his parents, Dan (Rachel) Aamodt; paternal grandparents, Tim (Coleen) Aamodt, Terry (Rich Nelson) Weber, and Randy (Jolene) Weber; maternal grandparents Kathy Mohn and Lisa Johnson; paternal great-grandparents, Luverne (Hedy) Aamodt, and Karen Kundy; maternal great-grandparents, Jean Lindus, Delores Vrieze, and Elfrieda Johnson; aunts and uncles, Christine, Kathy, Kevin, Joe and Derek and their families, and Jaime, Chad, Ben and Bradley and their families; as well as his chihuahua siblings, Frito and Alfie; and a multitude of cousins. Caden was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jim Mohn; paternal great-grandparents, Lee Kundy and Bob (Wilma) Weber; and maternal great-grandparents, Pete Vrieze, and Ken Lindus.

To honor Caden, a gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00-5:00pm on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 1010 Newton Street in Baldwin, WI. A private family burial will take place at the Gilman Lutheran Church Cemetery in rural Spring Valley, WI. Memorials are preferred to the discretion of the family. Services are in the care of the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin. 715-684-3434
