Carl A. Peterson

Carl A. Peterson Jr., age 93 of Baldwin WI, passed away February 6, 2015 at the Baldwin Care Center. Carl was born September 26, 1921 in Baldwin WI to parents Carl Sr. and Helen (Olson) Peterson. Carl attended schools in Baldwin, and graduated from Baldwin High School. On August 10, 1946, Carl would be united in marriage to Leone Owens. Their union in marriage would be blessed with four children, and over 68 years of love and devotion. Carl was a loving husband and father, and together with Leone, raised their family and farmed south of Baldwin for most of their lives.

Besides farming, Carl worked for a few years at Andersen Windows, and then went on to operate his own business, Peterson’s Sharp All, for close to forty years, where he sharpened all kinds of saw blades for all kinds of people. Carl was a trusted man for such precision work. He sharpened saws for people until retiring. Outside of work, Carl also enjoyed hunting and fishing, and time spent with family.

Carl is survived by his wife of 68 years, Leone; sons, David, Steven (Toni), and Dennis (Diane); daughter, Julie (Ron) Hulbert; twelve grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Sr. and Helen Peterson; and brother, Lloyd Peterson.

Memorial Services for Carl A. Peterson Jr. will be held at 1:30pm on Friday, February 13, 2015 at the Peace Lutheran Church, 2084 County Road N in Baldwin WI, with Pastor John R. Hanson officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm. A private family burial will be held. Memorials honoring Carl A. Peterson Jr. may be left to the discretion of the family. Services have been entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home and Countryside Crematory of Baldwin WI. 715-684-3434
