Carol J. Isaacs

Carol Joyce Isaacs, age 88 of Hudson, passed away December 1, 2018, at Red Cedar Canyon Assisted Living in Hudson.

Carol was born on June 18, 1930, in Stanley, WI, to parents Einar and Elizabeth (Krueger) Soderberg. She was raised in Stanley and graduated from Stanley High School in 1948. She continued her education at the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater where she earned a Bachelors of Science Degree. Carol was united in marriage to Jerry Robert Isaacs on August 14, 1952, in Stanley. She taught High School Business classes in Chetek, WI, and later in Hudson. The couple was blessed with four children. Carol and Jerry were founding members of Bible Baptist Church, which initially met in their home. Carol was a spiritual mentor and counselor to many women. She enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing and knitting, and working on craft projects.

Carol will remain in the heart of her husband of 66 years, Jerry Robert Isaacs of Hudson; children, Mary (Daniel) Stertz of Hudson, Paula (John) Herbert of Abilene, KS, Karen (Mark) Montgomery of Pittsburgh, PA, and Loren (Deborah) Isaacs of Coon Rapids; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Earl Isaacs of Mankato, MN; sister-in-law Virginia (John) Isaacs of Eau Claire, WI, and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her sisters, Shirley Isaacs, and Iris (Harold) Isenberger.

The funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 7th, at Bible Baptist Church, 545 6th St. N, North Hudson. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 6th and one hour prior to the service on Friday, all at the Bible Baptist church in North Hudson. Interment is at Willow River Cemetery in Hudson.
