Carol Joyce Walding

Carol Joyce Walding, 74, of New Richmond, WI, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Carol was born on March 23, 1948 to Robert and Lillian (Jackman) Spencer in Richmond, CA. She attended school in Atherton CA, and graduated from Menlo-Atherton High School in the class of 1966.

Following high school, she met the love of her life, David, while babysitting his older brother’s children. The couple were united in marriage on April 1, 1967 at the Full Gospel Assembly of God, Menlo Park, CA. The couple would be blessed with 3 wonderful girls and she gave them the best life ever.

Carol was a private person; and passionate about taking care of other people while putting the needs of others above her own. She adored children and found her purpose by becoming a teachers aid, teaching the deaf at Garfield Elementary in Bell Gardens, CA. Her love was unconditional, she retired early to take care of her father and the rest of her family. Carol was the typical grandmother and spoil her grandchildren all the while teaching them to love one another. She will be deeply missed by all whom knew her.

Carol is survivied by her husband of 55 years, David; Children: Holly Hayden, Lisa Walding, Wendy Walding; Grandchildren: Matthew Walding, Charity Hayden, Josiah Hayden, Christy Hayden, Danielle “Mimi” Walding, James Hayden, David Walding; Great-Granddaughter: Sofia Hayden; and her fur babies, Freckles and Sheri Baby. She is preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Lillian Spencer; Brother, Danny Spencer.

A celebration will be held at a later date by the family at Champs in New Richmond, WI. Services are entrusted to O’Connell Family Funeral Home and Countryside Crematory, 1010 Newton St., Baldwin WI, 715-684-3434,
