Carver L. Olsen, age 73, died peacefully at the American Heritage Care Center in Hammond, Wi on October 1, 2016.
Carver was born April 27, 1943 to Pete and Etta Olsen at Baldwin Community Hospital. He attended grade school in Hammond, WI until the age of 12, and graduated from River Falls High School in 1961.
Carver served in the Army National Guard and was deployed in October of 1961 and sent to Fort Lewis in Washington. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 121 in River Falls, WI.
Carver married Carol Delander in 1965 and had two children, Chad and Cindy.
He was a chef at the Coachman Supper Club in Baldwin for many years, and had his own refrigeration business in River Falls until he retired.
Carver had a passion for old planes and old cars, as all his friends and family can tell you.
Carver is survived by his son Chad (Wendy) of River Falls; grandchildren, Danielle and Samantha of River Falls; brother, Greg of New Richmond; sisters, Mary Etta of Woodville and Susan of River Falls.
Carver was preceded in death by his parents, H. Lemoine (Pete) and Henrietta (Etta) Olsen; and daughter, Cindy Olsen.
A visitation for Carver will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 7th at the Cashman-Hill Funeral Home., River Falls, WI, and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
The memorial service celebrating Carver’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 8th
at Ezekiel Lutheran Church in River Falls, WI. Burial will be at St. Martin’s Catholic Cemetery, Cherma, River Falls, at 9:00 a.m. prior to visitation and service on Saturday. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
