Catherine ‘Katie’ Johnson (Nee Richardson)

Katie Johnson (Richardson) age 55 of Hudson was born May 9th to James and Joan Richardson of Saint Paul, Minnesota. Katie married Thomas Johnson on April 9, 1982 on the Island of Saint Thomas in the U.S.V.I.

Katie was the perfect wife to Tom for 31 unbelievable years and was an exceptional & remarkable mother to Nicole, Tommy, Annie, Steven, and daughter-in-law Elisa. Extraordinary friend and teacher, Katie received her Masters of Education from Saint Mary’s University and taught first grade at Lincoln Center Elementary School in South Saint Paul for 18 years. She cared incredibly about each and every one of her students.

An everlasting hole will be left in the hearts of Katie’s immediate family, mother Joan, brothers and sisters Joe, Jim, John (Beth), Mike, Tom, Pat (Kim), Margaret, nieces and nephews, and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at 7pm on Wednesday, April 10 at Saint Patricks Church, 1500 Vine Street in Hudson, WI. There will be no formal visitation. memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers to the family. Funeral services have been entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson.
