Charles ‘Chuck’ Kitchner

Charles ”Chuck”” Kitchner, age 67 of Boyceville died Tuesday April 4th, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family while home on Adoray Hospice. Chuck was born on May 5, 1949 in Weston, Wisconsin; the son of Clarence and Gwendelyn (Elftman) Kitchner. He was raised in Menomonie graduating from high school. He furthered his education at Chippewa Valley Technical College in auto body repair prior to enlisting in the armed forces where he served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Upon his return, he worked many years as an auto body technician. He was gifted in auto body, which continued, for his entire life. Furthermore, he worked for Kadinger’s Auto Salvage in Downing where he drove truck for twenty two years. On March 24, 1988, he was united in marriage to Kim Glyzinski.

Chuck loved to trout fish in various rivers and streams throughout the Dunn Co area and deer hunt with friends and family in local woods. He loved to play Cribbage with friends and family. He was all about vehicles and tractors. He enjoyed a good tractor pull, or helping his grandson Brett fabricate or ‘sup-up’ a run down Cub Cadet and enter it in a tractor pull. He also enjoyed restoring cars with his good buddies Tom Danovsky and Dick Kadinger.

Chuck leaves fond memories with his family; wife Kim; sons Charlie (Lori) Kitchner of Waupun, Wisconsin and their son Brandon; Kevin (Tonya) Kitchner of Elmwood and their children Brett and Brandy; Daughter Megan Kitchner of Menomonie; siblings Mike (Linda) of Wyoming, Diane (Barney) Loback of Colfax, Ronald (Julie) Kitchner of Wheeler, and sister-in-law Cleo Kitchner of Woodville. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Bill.

A service of remembrance will be Saturday April 8th at 3PM at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1pm to 3pm at the funeral home. Interment with full military honors will be in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in Spooner. Memorials are preferred to the discretion of the family. Memorial services and cremation services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home and Countryside Crematory of Baldwin.
