Charles “Chuck” Wahlstrom, age 51, resident of Prescott, WI, passed away unexpectedly, as a result of head trauma from falling, at his home on Saturday, March 5, 2022. Chuck was born on February 7, 1971 to parents Gary Passard and Patricia Wahlstrom in Cannon Falls, MN. He graduated from Hastings High School and went on to attend Dakota County Technical College for architecture. He worked as a machine operator for most of his career, handling heavy equipment and overseeing the recycling of different kinds of metals. He had recently left that career to join his father in the family business, Remer Ironworks in Remer, MN.
Chuck was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was genuine and kind; just looking into his eyes brought about a warm presence. He was easy to talk to and had a lively imagination. Chuck loved all kinds of music! He also enjoyed gardening, collecting rocks and many other unique collections, and being outside, especially on a seashore where he could appreciate the beauty of nature.
Chuck will remain in the hearts of his father, Gary (Chris) Passard; stepmother, Sue Passard; sisters, Deanna (Adam) Zieske of Hastings, MN, Shannon (Chris) Passard-Remer, Amber (Travis) Silvis of Grand Rapids, MN and Gina (Steve) Pardino of Walker, MN; nieces and nephews, Hudson, Teresa, Kori, Luca, Foster, Devin, Rainy, Ciana and Brayden. Hudson and Teresa were also his godchildren, in which he was very proud. He will be missed by special friend, Nancy Rice, other extended family and countless friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Wahlstrom; grandparents, Eldora and Lavern Wahlstrom; and uncle, James Wahlstrom.
A Celebration of Chuck’s life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Ptacek’s Old Event Center in Prescott, WI. Visitation will take place from 4:00 pm – 7:00 p.m. at the same location. Memorials preferred to the family.
