Charles Joseph ‘Chuck’ Schoenoff

Charles Joseph “Chuck” Schoenoff, age 83 of Hudson WI, died on Monday, February 29, 2016 at his residence. Chuck was born in Weston WI on June 7, 1932; the oldest child and only son of Norman and Agnes (nee Burns) Schoenoff. Chuck attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Menomonie, and graduated from Menomonie High School with the Class of 1950. Chuck did farm work in the Mondovi and Knapp areas. He would be united in marriage to Evelyn Hayden on June 28, 1951 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Menomonie. Their union in marriage would be blessed with five children, two generations of grandchildren, and over 64 years of love and devotion to each other.

Chuck and Evelyn moved to Hudson in July of 1955, and Chuck began work at NorLake Incorporated, where he would dedicate nearly 40 years of service before his retirement. His favorite pastimes were camping, playing cards, bingo, dancing, fishing and traveling with Evelyn in their motorhome, which they did full time for 12 years. Chuck also cherished time spent with family and friends.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Catherine Giere, Rita Schuldt, and Norma Jean Gustum. He is survived by his loving wife Evelyn; his children, Randy (Barb) Schoenoff of Hartford WI, Karen (Brian) Blok of Hammond WI, Susan (Joe) Meulemans of Hudson, Steven Schoenoff of Woodville, and Patti Rickard of Bedias TX; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Ellen Schwanke of Chippewa Falls WI, and Ruth Ann Schoenoff of Menomonie WI; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial for Chuck Schoenoff will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1500 Vine Street in Hudson, with Rev. Fr. John Gerritts officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass at church, and also from 4:00-7:00pm on Friday, with a 6:45pm Prayer Service, at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 11th Street S. in Hudson WI. Burial will take place at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Hudson. Services are in the care of the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson WI. 715-386-3725
