Charlie F. Webb

Charlie Frank Webb, aged 92, of Hammond, Wisconsin, formerly of Hibbing, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2025. Born on February 10, 1933, in Baird, Texas to Samual Edmond Webb and Stella Fortune South Webb; Charlie always thoroughly enjoyed his mothers name.

Charlie was the thirteenth child and youngest boy of eight brothers and six sisters. His brothers were Edmond, Bascom, Allen, Sam, Britt, Joe, Bill, and “old Charlie” (as Charlie would say, and I’d say, “we all know that Charlie fella”. His sisters included Ava, Bessy, Erma, Amy, Marty, and Betty (Amy is still living, at the age of 98).

He attended school in Clyde, TX. He enlisted in the Airforce, served in active duty, working on aircraft during the Korean war. Charlie had strong religious beliefs, and in fact was an ordained minister. He loved to preach, spread the gospel, and feel and share the spirit of the Lord! Charlie was mechanically inclined and a natural at fixing things and helping others, so he worked most of his life in residential maintenance.

He met, then married Judy 02-18-1972 after a brief courtship in California. Charlie had five children (Jeff, Jennifer, Charotte, Charlene, Stacey) with his first wife, Darlene. With Judy, Charlie has two adopted children, Chuck and Marmie. There’s an endless line a grandkids and great grandkids, all of whom he adored! Charlie lived a long and happy life. He loved music, church, fellowship, conversing, singing, and spending time with family and friends!

A celebration of life will be held Friday, March 7, from 1pm to 3pm, at Heritage Court Apartments, 425 Davis Street, Hammond, Wisconsin. There will be a second Celebration held on Saturday, March 15, from 2pm to 5pm, at Sportsman’s Restaurant & Taverna, Hibbing, Minnesota.
