Charlotte Starr, age 93 of Hudson died peacefully Friday August 26th, 2011 at the Christian Community Home in Hudson. Charlotte was born on February 5, 1918 in Minneapolis, MN; the daughter of Olaf and Jennie Anderson. She attended Central High School, and received her performance/composition degree from MacPhail School of Music. On November 15, 1943, she was united in marriage to Gordon Starr at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Hudson. To this union daughters Jennifer, Cynthia, and Barb were blessed.

She taught piano and organ from her home for 55 years and served 43 years as organist for St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Lake St. Croix Beach. Char’s hobbies included international travel, reading, sewing, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Charlotte is preceded by husband Gordon and sister Jeane Anderson. She will forever remain in the hearts of her daughters Jennifer Starr, Cynthia (John) Rorvick, Barb Starr (Elliot Anderson), grandchildren Erik & Lance Rorvick, Noelle Anderson, step grandchildren Heidi (Jeff) Hupe, Kristoffer (Wanda) Holmgren, five great step-grandchildren, Australian AFS daughter Marguerite Svensen, Siblings Phyllis (Art) Smith, and Omar B. Anderson .

Celebration of Life for Charlotte will be 5:30PM Sunday August 28th at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until the 5:30 service on Sunday at O’Connell’s. Memorials preferred.
