Cheryl Peterson

Cheryl Grace Peterson age 68 of Hudson, devoted wife and mom, died Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the Hudson Hospital.

Cheryl was born on June 14, 1948 in St. Paul, Minnesota. She was raised by her mother Gracie and her grandmother Mary in St. Paul. She would graduate from St. Bernard’s High School prior to attending Lakewood College (Currently Century College). On September 21, 1968, she would be united in marriage to her best friend Robert Peterson at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in St. Paul. This union would be further blessed with a son Robert and daughter Carrie. She worked many years in data entry and insurance before working several years for EMPI, a division of DJO. She served as a Medicare Specialist and created many friendships over the years.

Cheryl lived life to the fullest. She was always on the go and wanted to see and experience what life could offer. For her family and friends, she was a constant source of entertainment. Her ‘pearls of wisdom’ and energy was appreciated by those around her. She enjoyed walking with friends and finding a quiet spot to read a favorite book. She will be sorely missed.

She will live on in the hearts of her husband of 48 years Robert; son Robert of Hudson; daughter Carrie of Hudson; siblings Sandra (Renzo) Rotti of Eden Prairie; Dennis Quinn of Eden Prairie; nephew Denny (Sara) Quinn, and niece Michelle (David) Denniston. She is preceded in death by her mother Gracie Quinn, grandmother Mary Wegscheider, son Bradley, and parents-in-law Harry and Marie Peterson.

Mass of Christian Burial for Cheryl will be 10:30AM Tuesday, October 4th at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church; 16770 13th St. So, in Lake St Croix Beach, MN. Interment will be private. Visitation will be Monday October 3rd from 4pm to 7pm at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers and will be used to further Cheryl’s passions in life.
