Christopher Jon Olson

Christopher Olson passed away on September 17, 2024, in a tragic vehicle versus pedestrian accident, in La Crosse. The son of Satch and Barbara Olson, Christopher was born on May 22, 1979. He was a proud graduate of class of 1997, St. Croix Central. Chris then went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree from UW Eau Claire in Kinesiology to become a personal trainer.

From a young age, Chris was deeply passionate about hockey, beginning his journey in the sport with Baldwin area youth hockey at the tender age of 3 and achieving two state championships. His love for football and golf also shone brightly throughout his school life.

Known for his unwavering loyalty to a vast circle of friends. Chris found immense joy in cheering on the Packers and Badgers football teams, reveling in the harmonies of music, and dreaming of the vastness of the ocean.

Chris was proceeded in death by his; grandparents Melvin & Angeline Olson, and George & Helen Barringer; aunt Maxine (Barringer) Johnson; cousin Travis Reilly. He will be forever remembered by those who loved him the most including his; parents Satch & Barbara (Barringer) Olson; brother Bart (Shannon) Olson; nephew Declan Olson; plus many extended family and dear friends.

A private celebration of Christopher’s life will be held on a later date, allowing loved ones to pay their respects and share stories of his impactful presence. In Lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to their charity of choice.

Christopher’s spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him, as he leaves behind a legacy of friendship, passion, and unwavering loyalty. May his memory be a beacon of light for all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
