Christopher Douglas Olson, age 37, passed away at his home September 5, 2021.
Christopher was born May 27, 1984 at Lakeview Hospital Stillwater, MN to Roland and Linda Olson of Hudson, WI.
He was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church Starbuck, MN and confirmed in faith at Trinity Lutheran Church Hudson, WI. Chris attended Hudson High School and Brown Institute in Minneapolis, MN. He worked many years at Cub Foods in Stillwater, MN.
Chris was a very genuine, compassionate and caring person who gave the best hugs and had great love for his family. He had a dry, witty sense of humor and his laughter was contagious. Chris loved to vacation with his family and see new things. He especially enjoyed reading, playing video games; Sonic was his favorite. He enjoyed watching movies and loved collecting memorabilia from his favorite movies and games. He loved all kinds of sports and could tell you any stat of most players. He was a huge fan of the Milwaukee Bucks and Brewers, and enjoyed watching games with his Dad and brother. He was especially thrilled when the Bucks won the NBA championship this year. He enjoyed going out to eat and trying new restaurants; his go-to was a Popeye’s chicken sandwich.
Christopher will be greatly missed, and remain in the hearts of his parents Roland and Linda Olson; sister Andrea (Jeremy) Augeson of Rochester, MN; brothers Ben of St. Louis Park, MN and Anthony of Hudson, WI; grandmothers Nelda Olson and Dolores “Winky” Andert; niece Ava Augeson and nephew Marshall Augeson; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers; Clinton Olson and Harold “Swede” Andert; uncles Douglas and Daniel “Sam” Olson.
Visitation will be held Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 4:00 to 6:00pm at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home: 520 S. 11th Street Hudson, WI.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00am Monday, September 13th, at Shepherd of the Valley Church, 14107 Hudson Road South, Afton, MN with Visitation 1 hour prior to service. Interment will take place Tuesday, September 14, 2021 in Starbuck, MN.
