    • I served with Colin for almost nine years in the USAR, including a 9 month deployment that had us together in an office barely big enough for both of our desks. He had a big heart and cared deeply about the welfare of others. This is a man who once flew a flag in Kuwait in order to send it to a child’s classroom in the States, This is a man who took a stuffed camel on adventures and sent back pictures to those same students, much like the travel gnome, and paid a pet sitter to pamper his beloved kitty while he was deployed.

Under the mild exterior, was a man with a sharp sense of dark humor and something just shocking enough to make someone laugh.

I will remember these things, my friend.
      You will be missed.

We should have been having lunch; not your burial.

    • I am saddened by the recent loss of Sergeant Colin Drake. I had the privilege of serving alongside him in the United States Army Reserve since 2013. He welcomed me into the unit-as my platoon sergeant- with a warm smile. He was passionate about his career in the army and was a model behavioral health specialist. Showing junior enlisted how to work with individuals suffering from mental illness and substance abuse issues. There is a hole in the heart of our unit- he will be missed dearly.

    • I am so sorry for your loss. I work at WITC and Colin always had a smile and a hello every time we passed. Even though we didn’t formally meet, I will miss seeing him in the hallways, coming from the study room. Truly a dedicated student. My condolences.

    • My deepest condolences to the Drake family and friends for the loss of your loved one Colin. In God’s word the Bible is a wonderful promise for the loved ones we have lost in death to be fulfilled very soon right here on a brand new Paradise Earth by his son Jesus Christ it will give you hope and comfort during this difficult time Acts 24:15; John 5: 28,29; Revelation 21: 1-5.
