Cory Hoesley, age 33, of North Hudson, formerly of Roberts, was tragically killed in an automobile accident on Monday, February 24th, 2020.
Cory was born on May 5, 1986 to parents Herman and Cheryl (Pierzina) Hoesley. He graduated from St. Croix Central High School with the class of 2004. He went on to attend Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College. Cory worked at Uponor in Apple Valley, MN, where he was a Senior Maintenance Technician, and was only two years away from getting his masters electrical license. He married his first and only love Amber Henson on May 3, 2008 and they were blessed with four amazing boys.
Cory was a master mechanic at a young age, he could fix a broken down lawn mower by 4th grade and repaired his first tractor by 8th grade. He used his knowledge and skills to help people, and if he couldn’t help, he always “knew a guy” who could. There was nothing he couldn’t fix. The farms and tractor pulling were his passions, working on the farm was his therapy and his family was his whole world. Everything he did was for his four boys and Amber and he always put their needs before his own. When it came to tractor pulling, International was his choice and often joked, “If it ain’t red it stays in the shed.” but even on a John Deere he could still win. You would never hear him turning down a cold Bush Latte with good friends. He will be missed terribly by his wife Amber, children Dylan, Drew, Drake, and Ben; little dog Lille; parents Herman and Cheryl, and many other family and friends.
A funeral service for Cory will be on Sunday, March 1st at 1:30pm at Cross Lutheran Church in Roberts. His visitation will be the evening prior on Saturday, February 29th from 3-7pm at O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Baldwin, as well as from 12-1:30pm at church before the service. Memorials will be used for the boy’s future.
In Cory fashion come as you are, whether bib overalls or work jeans.
