Cynthia S. Neubarth

Cynthia Sue Neubarth, age 57 of North Hudson, passed away May 28, 2013 surrounded by her loving family at the Hudson Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Cindy was born February 2, 1956 in Sparta, WI; the daughter of Wayne and E. Lorraine (Thomas) Calhoun. She attended St. Joseph Elementary and graduated from Black River Falls High School High School. After high school, Cindy furthered her education in finances at Patricia Stevens College. She was united in marriage to her best friend and soul mate Galen Neubarth on March 12, 1979 at St. Josephs in Black River Falls. Together, they shared 34 wonderful years together. Cindy worked as a financial planner with Piper Jaffray and RBC until her illness in March of 2013.

Outside of work, Cindy enjoyed swimming, reading and walking. Important to Cindy was her faith and her family. She was an active member of Saint Croix Valley Church in Lakeland, especially proud of her assignment as the funeral coordinator.

Cindy will remain in the hearts of her loving husband, Galen; mother, E. Lorraine Calhoun of Black River Falls, WI; brother, Steven (Jeanne) of Black River Falls, WI; brother/sister-in-law, Dennis & Diana Neubarth; nieces & nephews Cody Calhoun, Contessa Calhoun, Cassie Rider, Robert Neubarth; as well as countless friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Calhoun.

Funeral services will take place at 11:00AM, Saturday June 1, 2013 at Saint Croix Valley United Methodist Church, 16600 7th St. (Hwy 95) Lakeland, MN with Pastor Daren Flinck officiating. A visitation will take place at church from 9:30 to 11AM prior to the service at church. Memorials preferred. Funeral services are entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson.
