Dale Eugene Holle, age 88 of Baldwin died peacefully Thursday February 26, 2015 at the Baldwin Care Center. Dale was born on September 7, 1926 in Baldwin; the son of Arthur and Della (Huenink) Holle. He was raised in Baldwin where he graduated from the Baldwin High School. Following this, he enlisted in the armed forces where he proudly served in the United States Navy. On June 30, 1950, he was united in marriage to Pauline Mae VanSomeren. To this union children Vickie, Doug, Tim, and Nancy were blessed. Dale worked many years as a cabinetmaker in Baldwin for Heebink Lumber.
Dale was a free spirited easygoing man. He loved spending time with friends bowling, throwing horseshoes, or playing softball. With his woodworking background, he took great pleasure in tearing down old barns for its barnboard and creating new barns or crafts with it. He was also a huge supporter of Baldwin Woodville sports; especially wrestling. He was a member of the Baldwin American Legion Post and served on their color guard.
Dale is survived by his wife Pauline; children Vickie (Rev. Randy) Richter of Green Bay, Doug (Mary) Holle of Baldwin, Tim Holle of Tucson, AZ, Nancy (Jeff) Hellendrung of Baldwin; grandchildren Nathanael, Bethany (Jason), Rachel, Lindsey (Craig), Bailey (Andy), Paige (fiancé Steven), Brody, Rylee, great grandchildren Elsie, Jett, Braelynn, Nash, Cale; siblings Doris (George) Birkett of Baldwin, Bud (Wanda) Holle of Baldwin, sister-in-law Eleanor “Toots” Holle of Baldwin, Nat Holle of Minnesota and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his stillborn granddaughter Rebekah Richter; siblings Donald (Jeanette) Holle, Earl Holle, Harriet (Harold) Jensen, and Leon Holle
A Memorial service for Dale will be 11AM Friday March 13th at First United Presbyterian Church in Baldwin with Pastor Medhat Yoakhiem officiating. Special music will be provided by Andy Szmanda, Steven Pax, and Rick Stone. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 9AM to 11AM at church. Interment will be in the Baldwin Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Baldwin American Legion Post #240. Memorials are preferred to the Baldwin Woodville Wrestling Club or the First United Presbyterian Church. Funeral services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home and Countryside Crematory of Baldwin.
