Daniel A. Burger, age 58, of Hudson, WI, died on January 3, 2022 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN.

Dan was born on April 7, 1963 in St. Paul, MN to John and Lucille (Adrian) Burger. He grew up on the family farm in Stillwater, MN and continued to enjoy farming in western Wisconsin. Later, he would transition his career to construction and spent many years as a dispatcher for a construction material delivery company. He enjoyed the opportunity to work with many of the same people over the years, including his brothers and a cousin.  Dan was blessed with four daughters, and after uniting in marriage to Donna Cernohous, was blessed with two more children.

Dan was an avid sports fan, and was extremely proud when his broomball team won a world championship. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He cherished time spent with his family traveling to South Carolina and Florida as well as seeing and talking to his children on a regular basis.   Dan enjoyed spending time with his extended family as well, whether it was sharing knowledge and stories with his sons-in-law or providing new opportunities to his grandkids by introducing them to country life and taking them for rides on the four wheeler.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; children: Mindy (Tim) Sewald, Amy (Nathan) Siler, Katelyn (Andrew) Duval, Kimberly (Stephen) Solaja, Victoria Burger, and Jake Burger; grandchildren: Brynlee Sewald, Colin Siler, Kameron and Samya Solaja, and Kace, Rhyley, Drew, and Evryn Duval; mother, Lucy Burger; siblings: Joe (Nikki) Burger, Kathi Burger, Sue (Kelly) Gunderson, and Jimmy (Michele) Burger; along with nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, John.

Please note: if you just submitted a tribute, it is pending approval.
    • I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to Dan’s family. I am a truck driver from Fort Dodge, Iowa and have been delivering sheetrock loads to the yard Dan worked at in Oakdale for more than 35 years, so knew Dan pretty much the whole time he worked there. He always had time for conversation and “Hi Duane how is it going” if I came into the office after making my delivery. Just a great guy and will be missed greatly when I walk into the office. Once again my deepest sympathies and thoughts and prayers are with his family. God bless you.

    • There are not a lot of guys like you. It takes a special person to raise so many beautiful and strong daughters. You expected the best from your kids and listening to you talk about your kids…humble brags, they never disappointed you.
I always enjoyed our time..the long talks when we were milking the cows, in the milk house cleaning, driving to ball or Bloomer….phone calls to see if I am surviving the Texas weather.
Watching you create your life and how happy you were when Donna said yes and starting your new life. I love you.
