Darlene Louise Pedersen, age 88 of Prescott passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on December 6, 2021. Darlene was born to Edward and Leah (Lagae) Smet on September 20, 1933 in Superior, WI. She attended Cathedral High School graduating with the class of 1952. Darlene was united in marriage to Floyd Pedersen on November 19, 1955. Their union blessed them with two children, Cheryl and Jeffrey.

Darlene was a strong woman, great mother, and a devoted wife. She was very detail oriented, as she took great pride in keeping her home tidy. She enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino where she would try her luck at the slots! Darlene was very fond of shopping and would buy just about anything as long as it was on sale.

Darlene is survived by her husband of 66 years, Floyd; children: Cheryl (Neil) Huppert, and Jeffrey (Pamela) Pedersen; grandchildren: Nick (Meghan), Stephanie (Eric), Christopher (Jacqueline)  , Kyle, Sarah (Brent), and Kelsey (Matt); and nine great-grandchildren, siblings: Ed Smet, Ron Smet, and Dennis Smet. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Leah Smet, and parents-in-laws, Olaf and Ragna Pedersen.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prescott at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 16, 2021 with Father George Szews officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the start of Mass. Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Prescott.
