Darlene Faye Plemon, age 73, of Oakdale, MN, formerly of Lakeland, MN, passed away on March 20, 2015 at St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood, MN, after a hard fought battle with cancer.

Darlene was born on August 5, 1941 in Eau Claire, WI to John and Grace (Castner) Kosmosky.

She was a dedicated 3M employee, working her way up from a Secretary to the Supervisor for Plant Engineering. As a parishioner of St. Francis Catholic Church, she readily participated in the quilting groups, ushered, and was the head of the ladies guild. Darlene also enjoyed traveling with her husband of 53 years and Rock and Roll Dance Partner, Ray, and their family to Mexico every year, as well as trips to Jamaica and Hawaii. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her husband, son, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, and siblings.

Darlene is survived by her husband, Ray; son, Jim (Naomi) Plemon; 3 grandchildren: John, Matt, and Francie Plemon; siblings: Shirley Biegel, Merlin (Ann) Kosmosky, Judy Connor, Linda (Cecil) Drehmel, Arlene (Jerry) Frank, Marvin Kosmosky, Goldean (Jim) Heil, Cindy (Kim) Nguyen, and Marty Kosmosky; and her beloved schnauzer, Scooter.

She is preceded in death by her parents; half sister, Jean Riley; and brothers-in-law, Bill Connor and Gail Biegel.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 27, 2015 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 16770 13th St. S, Lake St. Croix Beach, MN with a visitation one hour prior to Mass at church. Interment at Hope Cemetery in Chippewa Falls, WI.
