David Morrison

David James Morrison, 63, passed away on October 11, 2024, at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Born on November 4, 1960, David was a caring and loving son, brother, and uncle, cherished by a family that includes his mother, Ethel Morrison; brothers, Scott and Paul (Janice) Morrison; sisters, Mary and Laurie (John) Chen; nieces Victoria Morrison and Alexandra Morrison, Isabella Morrison, nephew, Charles Chen; aunts, Joyce Chesley and Beula Borgeson; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, James D. Morrison.

David grew up in Great Falls, MT, attending Sacajawea Elementary, North Junior High, and graduated from Hastings Senior High. David was an avid reader and loved the study of History. He pursued his passion for history at Mankato University and UW River Falls. He was also an avid advocate for law enforcement and attended the Eau Claire Police Academy, where he became a Deputy Sheriff for Pierce County, WI. After his career in law enforcement, he pursued a career in Information Technology, which culminated in a 10-year career at US Bank.

Beyond his professional life, David was deeply committed to his faith, dedicating much of his time to sharing the message of Christ, which profoundly impacted many lives. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, cars, collecting a variety of memorabilia such as antiques, coins, and stamps.

Services to honor David’s life will be held at O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson, WI, on Saturday, October 19, 2024. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to animal shelters of your choice, a cause David held dear.
